HeliBike Rotorua can collect you from your accommodation in Rotorua or you can make your own way out to secure parking at our Helicopter base just past Murupara. The base is approximately 55 minutes drive from Rotorua. Every minute of this drive you will feel that you are heading away from civilisation and into adventure country.
HeliBike Rotorua is based at 159 Golf Rd, Galatea. You head south out of Rotorua on State Highway 5 then after 20 minutes you will reach Rainbow Mountain where you need to turn left onto state highway 38 which goes through Murupara towards Lake Waikeremoana. About 1km after travelling through Murupara you will reach the excellent DOC Murupara office – well worth a visit. Then Golf Rd is on your right a further 1km along the road. The HeliBike Rotorua base is on the left, 1.59km up Golf Rd. Travel up their driveway to the carpark. This is a very safe place to leave your vehicle. There are toilets and showers available here also.
